WHAT ARE ONE DAY WORKSHOPS?

Black Hound’s One Day Clay Workshops are a fun and easy way to experience clay for the first time! All of our workshops are taught by professional teaching artists and have easy step by step instructions designed for beginners who have never touched clay before.

If you have more experience, One Day Workshops will allow you to delve deeper into the projects and make them as unique and interesting as your heart desires.

WHAT IS INCLUDED?

All materials, tools, instruction and firing are included in the price of the workshop. Each participant will select their best two pieces from the workshop to keep and glaze.

ACCESSIBILITY NOTES

We have vinyl gloves for those with sensory issues and other adaptive equipment available for students with limited arm and shoulder strength.

Individuals with very long nails may have difficulty throwing on the potter’s wheel. If you are able to, please consider coming to the workshop with shorter nails!

WHO CAN ATTEND?

One Day Wheelthrowing Workshops are suitable for ages age 16 and over.

WHEN DO I GET MY FINISHED PIECES?

All work is bisque fired, glazed and then fired again by Black Hound staff. You can expect this to take about 3 to 4 weeks from the date of your workshop. You will be notified by email when your pieces are ready to pick up! We are open Wednesday through Sunday 12-6.
